Terms of Service

Last updated: April 21, 2026

The short version

CompoundCraft is a career assessment and platform for senior professionals. By using it, you agree to these terms. Your assessment analysis is personalized output from an AI — it's designed to help you think, not to replace professional career, financial, legal, or medical advice. Subscriptions auto-renew; you can cancel anytime. We own the product; you own your data and the analysis we generate for you. California law governs these terms. We'll tell you if we change them.

Agreement to these terms

By creating an account or using CompoundCraft, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the service.

These terms are a binding agreement between you and CompoundCraft, which is operated by Greg Baker, a sole proprietor based in California. References to "we," "us," or "CompoundCraft" mean the same person and business.

What CompoundCraft is — and what it isn't

CompoundCraft gives you a personalized pathway analysis based on the information you provide. If you subscribe, the platform adds market intelligence, experiment tracking, a resource catalog, and access to peer cohorts.

Your analysis is generated by an AI model (currently Claude, from Anthropic) working from your assessment responses. It's a tool to help you think through your options. It is not:

For decisions with significant financial, legal, or health consequences, consult a qualified professional. Your analysis is a starting point for your own thinking, not a substitute for it.

Your account

To use CompoundCraft you need to be at least 18 years old. When you create an account, we ask you to:

You're responsible for what happens under your account. If you think someone else has accessed your account, contact us right away.

Acceptable use

Don't use CompoundCraft to:

If you violate these rules, we can suspend or close your account. Depending on severity, we may do so without notice.

Subscriptions, billing, and refunds

Pricing

Current pricing:

Prices are in US dollars and exclude applicable taxes. We may change prices in the future; if we do, we'll give you notice before the change takes effect for your subscription.

How billing works

Monthly and annual subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless you cancel. We charge the payment method you've stored with Stripe at the start of each renewal period.

For annual subscriptions, we'll email you a reminder 30 days before the renewal date so you have time to cancel if you don't want to continue.

During the founding period, we don't collect a payment method from you. When the founding period ends, you'll need to add a payment method to continue with a paid subscription. If you don't add one, your platform access will pause rather than being charged without your consent.

Refunds and cancellation

Monthly subscriptions. You can cancel at any time. Your access continues through the end of the period you've paid for. We don't pro-rate refunds for partial months.

Annual subscriptions. You can cancel at any time. If you cancel partway through a year, we may at our discretion refund unused full months. Reach out and we'll do our best to be fair.

Founding members. You can cancel at any time during the founding period at no charge. If you cancel after becoming a paying subscriber, the rules above apply based on your subscription type.

To cancel, use the cancellation option in your account settings, or email greg@compoundcraft.co.

Who owns what

We own the product. The CompoundCraft software, design, written content (except content you submit), brand, and intellectual property belong to us. Using the service doesn't transfer any of this ownership to you.

You own your data. Your assessment responses, uploaded files, correspondence with us, and account information remain yours. You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive license to use your data for the purpose of providing the service to you — generating your analysis, delivering it, operating platform features, and improving the product in aggregate. This license ends when you delete your data or close your account, except for any copies we're required to retain for legal or accounting purposes.

Your analysis is yours to use. The personalized analysis we generate based on your inputs is yours. Save it, share it, act on it, or ignore it. We don't restrict what you do with your own analysis.

Feedback. If you send us feedback, suggestions, or ideas for the product, we can use them without any obligation to you (including without compensation or attribution). We appreciate the feedback either way.

Third-party content and links

The platform includes links to third-party tools, platforms, and communities in the resource catalog. We don't control these third parties and aren't responsible for their content, practices, or terms. Your use of third-party services is governed by their own terms.

Changes to the service

We may add, change, or remove features over time. For most changes this won't affect your use of the service materially. If we make a change that materially reduces what a paid subscription includes, we'll give you notice and, if reasonable, a pro-rated refund option.

We may also discontinue the service. If we do, we'll give you reasonable notice, provide a way to export your data, and refund the unused portion of any active subscription.

Termination

You can close your account at any time. We can suspend or terminate your access if you violate these terms, if we're required to by law, or if we discontinue the service. If we terminate your access for reasons other than a violation of these terms, we'll refund the unused portion of any active subscription.

When your account is closed, we'll delete your data within a reasonable period, except where we need to retain it for legal or accounting purposes. Provisions of these terms that by their nature should survive termination — including ownership, disclaimers, limits on liability, and governing law — will continue to apply.

Disclaimers

CompoundCraft is provided "as is" and "as available." We do our best to keep the service reliable, accurate, and secure, but we don't warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or produce any specific outcome for you.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

Your assessment analysis is generated by an AI model based on the inputs you provide. It reflects patterns in training data and the information you've shared — it isn't omniscient, and it can be wrong. Treat it as input to your own thinking, not as a verdict.

Limits on liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim related to CompoundCraft is limited to the greater of (a) the fees you've paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or (b) one hundred US dollars.

We aren't liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages, including lost profits, lost data, or lost opportunities, even if we've been told such damages are possible.

This limitation isn't because we're cynical about the product. It's because a personalized career assessment is a tool for thinking, and the decisions you make with it — and their outcomes — are yours. We can't be responsible for outcomes that sit outside our control.

Indemnification

If someone else brings a claim against us because of your violation of these terms, your misuse of the service, or content you submitted that you didn't have the right to submit, you agree to cover the reasonable costs of defending against that claim.

Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these terms or the service will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in California, and you agree to the jurisdiction of those courts.

If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the product evolves or as regulations change. If we make material changes, we'll email account holders and post a notice on the site. The "Last updated" date at the top will always reflect the current version.

If you continue to use CompoundCraft after changes take effect, you accept the updated terms. If you don't accept them, you can close your account before they take effect.
